IISERs (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) are the institutes set up by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India which offers U.G, P.G & Ph.D education at seven locations across India. The seven institutes are located at:
- Berhampur, Odisha
- Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
- Kolkata, West Bangal
- Mohali, Panjab
- Pune, Maharashtra
- Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
- Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
- A valid KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) fellowship commencing from 2018-2019 academic session. Additional cut-off criteria may be applicable.
- IIT-JEE Advanced 2018: Minimum 60% marks in Class 12 and secure a place in JEE Advanced 2018 rank list for admission to IITs.
- State and Central Boards (SCB): Marks equal or above the cut-off percentage in Class 12 exam as notified at the IISER admission portal. Those applying through the SCB channel are required to qualify in the IISER Aptitude Test, which will be conducted at various centres in India tentatively in June 2018. Additional cut-off criteria may be applicable.
Note: Reservation of seats at IISERs will be as per Govt. of India rules.

The online application portal will be open for submission from May 2018.
You need to pay an application fee of Rs.2000/-, which is non-refundable, at the time of online application. The fee is Rs.1000/- for those applying under SC/ST category, Kashmiri migrants and Physically Handicapped candidates.
