National Academy of Legal Studies & Research University, which is popularly known as NALSAR is one of India’s most reputed institutions. NALSAR University has 17 research centers and has been imparting professional/non-professional education, research, and training since 1998. The university offers undergraduate (UG), post-graduate (PG) as well as M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree programs. The university is inviting applicants for their Ph.D. /M.Phil. programs.
Eligibility for M. Phil (10 seats)
The candidate must possess LL.M. Degree from any recognized University with minimum ‘B+’ grade or an aggregate of 55% marks (for open category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC / ST / Persons with Disability). Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to register for the programme.
Eligibility for Ph.D
Candidate must possess master’s degree in law or in any other discipline from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
Judge of any State High Court in India with three years/s experience or Judge of Supreme Court of India are also eligible to apply.
Candidates who have passed the Company Secretary Examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and have been awarded the Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) can also register for the programme.
Candidates who have passed the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi are also eligible to apply.

Candidate must also submit the application fee of Rs. 2000/- (for open category candidates) and Rs. 1000/- (for SC/ST category candidates) through demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn in favor of “Registrar, NALSAR University of Law” and payable at Hyderabad.
